had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Dr Surendra Upadhyay from C&S in
2002 when the SKSN boys' team went to the UK for the Mini Games sports tournament.
At that time, it was seen that the crutches and calipers that the children were using were not of good quality. They were causing damage to the skin & nerves of the children and also were heavy enough to put the children off using them.
C&S initiated discussions about the possibility of setting up an orthotic workshop so that SKSN could become self sufficient in the production of calipers. The workshop project was initiated in 2002 and has been carried through by the Take Action charity organization.
C&S have constantly offered their support by providing the school with an ambulance, dental chair, jumpers, school uniforms, some medicines, and assisted in the purchase of a flour mill.
The Mini Games' girls team was given the ride of a lifetime, when they were taken around London City and it's wonderful sights, in a stretch limo by the one of the C&S members!
