7:30 Reading Time The students spend two hours sitting quietly on their beds, or the stone floor, studying their school exercise books, and doing their homework. Meanwhile the cooks are working hard in the kitchen, rolling flour and water into balls and throwing them onto the hot iron bars above a wood fire to make roti after roti. A mountain of the flatbreads is required to feed the whole school - especially for the growing boys who can eat up to ten for breakfast! |
